Hong Kong Society AGM and Talk

In addition to the Annual General Meeting, the Hong Kong Society invites special guest Dr Edith M. Y. Yan to present a talk entitled ‘Engaging Students in Discipline Research for Final Year Projects: An Example from a BA TESL Programme in China’. The AGM will be followed by a lunch.

Speaker bio

Dr Edith M. Y. Yan is a Programme Director of the Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) programme, and the English Language and Literature Studies (ELLS) programme at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai, China. Her research interests include first language use in foreign language classrooms, blended learning, and discourse analysis. She has presented at AAAL conferences, ICLLS and other professional meetings on various topics related to language teaching and learning.
