Our contract with Parliament Hill for CIOL Advantage came to an end on June 30th 2024. CIOL Advantage traditionally featured a package of UK-oriented, largely lifestyle benefits. After reviewing our partnership with Parliament Hill, we found that the most valued benefit by far was Professional Indemnity Insurance. CIOL members now have the opportunity to obtain Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) directly from Trafalgar Insurance. By booking directly with Trafalgar Insurance, members will continue to enjoy their Price Promise, ensuring they receive the best rate available. 
While we understand that some members may miss the UK-based lifestyle discounts, the extremely low uptake (less than 1%) of the lifestyle benefits, and the availability of similar discounts through credit cards, store cards, banks, TV and mobile phone companies have led us to this decision. We have reallocated the savings from ending the contract with Parliament Hill to support more CIOL CPD, webinars and events, which are valued by a much larger portion of our membership.
CIOL has also directly negotiated some significant discounts on a range of professional software and books for linguists. These are available to logged-in members here.
