Statement: I have worked in various areas of the translation industry since gaining my MA in Applied Translation Studies in 2005. My areas of specialisation include marketing/promotional literature, press releases and general business correspondence, and I am particularly interested in the field of travel and tourism. I spent six years working as an in-house translator for Schueco UK Ltd which has also provided me with experience of technical translation (e.g. fabrication, installation and operating instructions/manuals, product catalogues etc.) in the fields of architecture, construction and solar energy systems (photovoltaics and solar thermal products).
