Statement: Having gained a French degree in 2000 (specializing in literature and translation), I have worked in international organisations in Geneva, Switzerland working at CERN, UNAIDS, and Unitaid (the World Health Organisation). I also hold a Masters in International Management. I recently left the UN to start work in the medical device industry in Yverdon, Switzerland. I am executive assistant to the Managing Director there, as well as HR assistant, working entirely in French. My work involves translating documents from English into French. I also regularly carry out freelance translation work (subtitling for TED talks, and transcripts of interviews from French into English.
