Following on from the study weekend in in 2017 in Lübeck, the Queen of the Hanse, this year the German Society is crossing the sea to study the Hanse from a different perspective. In the 13th century, King’s Lynn was one of England’s foremost ports. The town attracted traders from the Hanseatic League who came to Lynn with fish, furs, timber, wax and pitch and took away English wool, cloth and salt. The port today still exports barley and imports timber.
All guided tours will be in English.
