“Es weihnachtet schon im Erzgebirge”
(All about the Christmas Land – where German elves work)
In this German speaking event, Walter is going to present the Erzgebirge region, which has become very popular in the world and is known for its beautiful and whimsical landscape, nutcrackers, smoker men, Christmas pyramids and candle arches. This region, located on the eastern side of Germany, is mountainous hence the name Erzgebirge, which translates to “Ore Mountains”. Walter is going to introduce us to his home region and show some decorations from the area. You are welcome to bring your own decorations to share it in a discussion, which will follow later. Bring some cookies, Christmas tea or Glühwein so that we can raise our glasses and celebrate our virtual Christmas event.
Language: German, but everybody is welcome.
Presenter: Walter Chromik
Please email the GLS, if you would like to join this event, and we will send out the Zoom invite: GLS@ciol.org.uk
