How do we deal with translation challenges…?
This online session is an opportunity to play with language.
Through informal activities, everyone’s translation skills will be put to the test with activities to stimulate discussions around linguistic equivalence:
- Share your experience translating something particularly tricky
- Contribute to the session’s bank of untranslatable English words
You can either brush up on your knowledge of translation studies theories or use your practical experience or even rely on linguistic intuition.
Preparation is minimal and self-guided.

The session will be lead by the Scottish Society's Steering group members: Florencia Pistritto, Adriana Uribe, Maureen Cohen and Liudmila Tomanek.
