Speaker bio
Stano Kong is Distinguished Professor of Linguistics in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature (FLLD), former Chair of the FLLD, Founding Director of the International Graduate Programme of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (MA in TCSL), and Dean of the College of Arts at Tunghai University in Taiwan. From 2014 to 2018, he served on the Executive Committee of the Linguistic Society of Taiwan. He received his PhD from Essex University (2001) and has published extensively in the areas of second language acquisition and second language syntax. He is currently working on the L3 acquisition of German noun phrases and adjective placement by Chinese speakers of advanced L2 English.
