Event report
We decided to have one of the summer events in Ludlow as this is where Michelle, the instigator of the group, was living and we wanted to wish her well before she returned to Australia. The long journey was well rewarded by arriving in a beautiful town in the throes of its annual arts festival. We had a delicious lunch in Bistro 7 in very good company with wide-ranging conversation covering Brexit, VAT, floristry and dogs! Then, taking advantage of the arts festival, we participated in a print-making workshop where we used an old-fashioned printing press to produce our very own bookmarks. We ended the day with a cup of tea from a specialist tea shop with over fifty teas to choose from. We very much enjoyed our day in this vibrant town, described by John Betjeman as "the most charming town in England".
