CPD and Training with CIOL

CIOL is pleased to announce that we are now providing our members with a broader programme of CPD and training. As part of this review of our CPD activity, we are making the majority of video recordings from the eCPD Webinars platform available free of charge to CIOL members.

Over the coming months, 150 videos will be added to the library, available from the My CIOL area of the website, under the CIOL Training banner.

Access to the video library further supplements the exclusive benefits of membership which our members around the world already enjoy – the professional recognition of belonging to the only Chartered Institute for language professionals, the ability to be listed on our Find-a-Linguist directory, as well as the many other tools and facilities that support our members.

To continue to support the profession as a whole, CIOL will be creating two new webinars

each month which will be freely available to CIOL members and non-members. Recordings of these new webinars will be added to the membership video library.

These will continue to look at all aspects of the profession, presented by a variety of expert speakers. Any language professional who would like to support the profession by sharing their knowledge is invited to get in touch by emailing comms@ciol.org.uk.

We will be closing the eCPD Webinars website from May 2020. If you have purchased videos in the past, you will still be able to access them via the link in your email confirmation.

This activity is just the start of how we will be expanding our support for professional linguists. Later in the year, we will be releasing a workshop and training programme, available either live or online, as we look to improve knowledge sharing and support within our community.

If you are not a CIOL member and would like to keep up to date on our webinar programme, we would like to invite you to join our guest mailing list by choosing to

download one of our guides to the profession and opting in when prompted:

We look forward to continuing to support the profession and those who have a passion for languages.
