Statement: I have been working as a part-time freelance translator since gaining my MA in Conference Interpreting & Translation in August 2010. In addition to regularly travelling to France and Spain, and both reading foreign literature and watching foreign films and television programmes, I have just completed the first year of a Portuguese course at Leeds Metropolitan University. I will embark on the second year in September 2014 and hope to add Portuguese to my official working languages in the near future.
