Statement: I am Emeritus Professor of Translation Studies and have been involved in translation and training since 1993. My publications in the field are used on translator training programmes internationally. I am also an experienced translator (Dip Trans 1992), having collaborated with Unesco and having published book-length translations of literature, biography, sports and art texts. My knowledge as an expert linguist has been called upon in trademark cases.
