Statement: Qualified in Medicine (MBBCh) and Biological Sciences (PhD), I directed a cancer research laboratory for many years before becoming Head of Faculty of Medicine & Biological Sciences in a major UK university. During this time, I had extensive experience of working with French colleagues and students, and authored research articles in French. Following retirement, I passed the Institute of Linguists Diploma and started a new career as a free-lance French to English translator. I specialise in translation of research papers and other scientific documents in the fields of medicine and biological sciences, as well as editing drafts for publication.
