The latest research from Rand Europe and the University of Cambridge assessed the economic value of languages to the UK in general, plus the potential economic benefits of improving languages education in schools. The study shows an increase in secondary school pupils learning Arabic, Mandarin, French or Spanish could boost the UK economy by billions of pounds over 30 years.
