He was chosen by the Argentinian government to translate an anthology of authors ‘disappeared’ in Argentina’s Dirty War; the volume was subsequently presented at the 2010 Frankfurt Book Fair.
Ian lives in Buenos Aires Province, from where he promotes mainly Argentinian literature and humanities, including Carlos Gamerro, Rafael Spregelburd and others.
As Principal of Parole Translating & Literary Agency he has fostered the understanding of Argentinian culture in English in a variety of fields.
