Statement: I Have been an interpreter and translator since 1992 and have published many papers on the practice of interpreting helping many students in pursuing their careers. As a professor I have developed glossaries and techniques that have further the development of translation and interpreting in Brazil. In addition to publishing articles and book chapters, I am the author of two dictionaries English-Portuguese-English and of a book on Legal English. I also co-authored and edited a series of Books applying Psycholinguistics to the teaching of English, French and Italian. I have been responsible for the organization of a Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) program in Brazil with the approval of the Ministry of Education (MEC).
