Statement: My professional career began in the field of education teaching German from secondary up to university level. I progressed from education into proof reading and translating German texts on a variety of topics until my interests polarised into the specialist areas listed above. Having gained a Diploma in Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists I work as a freelance translator priding myself on matching style and content of the source text to the translation whilst remaining aware of cultural differences. I always evaluate the suitability of a text before accepting it for translation and my work is underwritten by Professional Indemnity Insurance.
