Statement: I am a freelance bilingual translator, fluent in English and Brazilian Portuguese (in either direction). I was born in Brazil but I have lived in England for the last 32 years gaining my MSc Comp at Imperial College London, in the Evaluation of Translation Systems. My specialities are:
- complex academic or scientific texts (i.e. Abstracts)
- medical texts
- software and app translation and localization for Brazilian audiences
- previous work experience in finance, governance and corporate work.
I am also a skilled subtitling/captions translator and an approved member of the TED subtitling team. My translation work is always 100% manual and impeccably localised, as I have actual experience of daily life in both these languages.
