Statement: I am a British-Spanish-Uruguayan sworn translator (traductor jurado) and translation researcher. I've been accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation to translate and certify legal documents from English into Spanish and vice versa. I hold a PhD in Translation and Intercultural Studies (2018-2021) from the University of Manchester. Having taught translation at various UK institutions, I am currently affiliated with the University of York and The Open University. At York, I am programme leader of the new MA in Translation and Applied Technologies. My research interests lie in volunteer translation, translation technologies, corpus-based translation studies, and legal translation.
