Statement: I am a subtitler and translator working from French and German into UK or US English. I have a BA in French and German from UCL, an MA in Audiovisual Translation from Leeds University, six years' experience as a project manager and translator, and I have been tutoring German to English subtitling at Leeds University since 2021.
The audiovisual genres I work in are drama, entertainment, crime/thriller, documentary, marketing and corporate, and my specialist areas are food and drink, sustainable beauty and fashion, design, the arts and tourism. I'm passionate about improving accessibility through well-timed, readable subtitles and natural, idiomatic dialogue.
