Statement: I am a native French speaker and have lived in the UK for over 30 years, teaching French for the last 15 years, in schools and colleges. I have a thorough understanding of how to develop linguistic skills for students of all ages, both as an end in itself and to meet exam requirements. I am presently training to become a translator and working towards my CertTrans. In the past, whilst working in the printing industry, I worked as an in-house translator and interpreter. More recently, I have translated and been an interpreter for British homeowners in France to help them buy and manage their French property. I have also served as an interpreter to mountain guides in the Pyrenees and have translated technical climbing instructions.
